Support from MSD and beyond
Medical Sciences Division
The Medical Sciences Division Researchers' Toolkit has information on internal funding opportunities, which we include in the RDM funding bulletins and database. It also has a useful section on support for researchers.
Business Development and partnering office
The Medical Sciences Division operates an in-house Business Development and Partnering Office, which actively seeks to promote and facilitate collaborative research with a range of industrial partners. Its focussed remit allows the division to provide the necessary resources to develop, deliver and support long-term partnerships. This team has been instrumental in setting up a number of strategic partnerships with big pharma and in building relationships with SMEs.
translational research office (TRO)
The Translational Research Office (TRO) delivers support to translational research projects ensuring the progression of basic, biomedical and clinical research towards therapies, techniques and medical products with therapeutic value. The TRO works closely with the division’s Business Development and Partnering team, Oxford University Innovation, the Biomedical Research Centre and NHS partners. Contact Sarah Wagstaffe for queries.

- Vitae have a section on their website called "Developing your Research Proposal", which contains useful information as you embark on writing your grant.
- MRC Interactive Career Framework and their video of an example fellowship interview panel.
- Wellcome's 'Develop Your Research Career'.
