Our DPhil (Doctor of Philosophy) degree in Medical Sciences covers the whole span of the department’s research. In keeping with our focus on translational research, we welcome applications from both basic scientists and clinicians.
Most of our students, whether basic scientists or clinical fellows, are fully funded. The department is able to offer full funding at a generous level for basic scientists and our Principal Investigators have considerable experience in supporting clinicians in their applications for Clinical Research Fellowships (CRF).
The majority of applicants to the DPhil in Medical Sciences apply to work with a specific Principle Investigator (PI) on a predefined project. A list of projects available for entry in October 2018 can be found below.
Congratulations to our RDM Graduate Prize Winners!
Congratulations to Huw Colin-York, Quentin Ferry and Thomas Riffelmacher, who have won this year’s RDM Graduate Prize. All three students displayed research excellence during their DPhil studies and have helped to progress their respective fields.
