Mary-Anne Durin

DPhil student

I started my DPhil project in the Chapman lab in October 2020.

My project focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of the BRCA1-dependent 53BP1 exclusion for DNA double-strand break repair pathway choice and the role of the BRCA1-BARD1 complex in DNA repair. I am interested in studying the different BRCA1 and BARD1 protein domains and regions to understand how they interact with chromatin at DNA double-strand break sites.
