I am interested in disease mechanisms in cardiomyopathies. In particular I want to understand how biomechanical stress can contribute to the pathogenesis of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy.
Age and strain related aberrant Ca(2+) release is associated with sudden cardiac death in the ACTC E99K mouse model of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
