Bsc Hons, PhD
As part of the Lewandowski group, I am involved with the CHAPTER study (Cardiovascular Health Assessment of Preterm and Term-born children) and the #SELFIE study (Study From Early Life with Follow-up Into Early adulthood).
I have a BSc (Hons) and PhD in Human Movement and Exercise Science from The University of Western Australia. Prior to working at The University of Oxford, I have worked in paediatric settings for many years, in a Clinical role, coordinating a dedicated paediatric service in Australia for the assessment, care and management of children and adolescents with obesity, impaired glucose tolerance and Type 2 diabetes; and in a research environment, working in a large longitudinal cohort study that involved over 400 children and their families in Australia, and investigated a wide range of biological, psychosocial and environmental factors that affect the development of children. Most recently I have worked in an Academic environment, teaching medical students, both at an undergraduate and postgraduate (MD) level.
