Clinical research fellow & DPhil student
As a DPhil student under the supervision of Associate Prof Oliver Rider and Prof Damian Tyler I am assessing the ability of a novel Magnetic Resonance technique known as Dynamic Nuclear Hyperpolarisation (DNP), to detect changes in metabolism in the human heart occurring at different stages of coronary artery disease.
I am a clinical cardiology trainee in the Oxford deanery, with a specialist interest in coronary artery disease, and methods by which patients are selected for different treatments in medicine to ensure maximal clinical impact. I studied medicine on the postgraduate course here in Oxford, after achieving a 1st class honour degree in Biochemistry from University College London.
