AF with Flux Dance
We’ve teamed up with dance company ‘Flux’ to create AF - a danced infographic on irregular heart rhythm. They’re transforming research on atrial fibrillation into new choreography - watch the performance in the Ashmolean atrium throughout the evening (7-10pm).
The Blood Factory and the Natural History Museum
Where does blood come from and where is it taking us? Step inside the blood factory to get your hands dirty with the (fake) red stuff and find out about its amazing abilities to fight off infection and carry messages around the body. There will also be a chance to find out about our work on blood transfusions. Volunteers needed! Get in touch with Emma O’Brien if you’d like to get involved.
DNA Origami: How do you fold a genome?
After the success of the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition, we’ll be showcasing our virtual reality tour of DNA folding. Join us at the Ashmolean (7-10pm) to find out how DNA folding influences health and disease.
Botanical Wonderland
Take a stroll through the Botanic Gardens (3-7pm) to learn more about the plants that are the basis of life-saving drugs for cardiovascular disease.
A huge thanks to all the researchers across RDM who have worked so hard to make this a success.
