My research in Professor Charalambos Antoniades’s group was focused on signaling pathways that regulate myocardial redox state. Previous work in our group has shown that myocardial redox state is regulated by adipokines like adiponectin, and myocardial redox state is associated with post-operative outcomes. During my DPhil, which I completed in our group, I examined the crosstalk between myocardial redox state and hydrogen sulfide biology.
