DPhil Student
I am a DPhil student, working under the supervision of Professor Graham Ogg and Dr Luzheng Xue in the MRC Human Immunology Unit (MRC HIU). My project title is: The role of CD1a-restricted T cells in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis. My research focuses on studying endogenous lipids generated by fungi in addition to exogenous lipids found in fungi but not in humans and their CD1a-reactivity in two common fungi that are known to exacerbate atopic dermatitis. My research will represent a significant step forward in our understanding of inflammatory skin disease and immune responses to fungi.
