Chrysovalantou Nikolaidou
Senior Imaging Fellow
I am a Senior Imaging Fellow at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR), reading for a DPhil (PhD) in Medical Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece under the supervision of Associate Professor Theodoros Karamitsos. My background is in clinical cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography, computed tomography coronary angiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, in which I am certified from the European Society of Cardiology and the BSCI/BSCCT. I obtained my degree in Medicine with distinction at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 2005, my Master's degree in Health Care Management in 2014, and completed my specialist clinical training in Cardiology in Greece in 2016 again with distinction. I moved from Greece to Oxford to enhance my understanding and further advance my knowledge in cardiac imaging and especially CMR, as part of my clinical practice as well as my research project in CMR in patients with ventricular arrhythmia and structurally normal hearts on other imaging modalities.
