Award from the journal Hypertension recognises publication as the top paper in its category of basic science.

The work was led by Dr Gillian Douglas and Professor Keith Channon (pictured left) and the first author was Dr Surawee Chuaiphichai (pictured right). 

The award comes with a cash prize, two inscribed plaques and a travel award to attend the Council on Hypertension Scientific Sessions 2019 in New Orleans, Louisiana from September 5 - 8 2019. 

The paper, entitled 'Hypertension for the paper Endothelial cell tetrahydrobiopterin modulates sensitivity to Ang (angiotensin) II–induced vascular remodeling, blood pressure, and abdominal aortic aneurysm. can be read here
