Today's Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014) results confirm the University of Oxford’s world leading position in medical sciences research.

The Radcliffe Department of Medicine was part of the Clinical Medicine return in REF, and Oxford ranked top for overall quality in Clinical Medicine (out of 31 institutions). Our result is complemented by outstanding results from the other areas of Medical Sciences. The University overall has the largest volume of world leading research and impact submitted to the REF exercise.
