A new Studentship has been announced in memory of the late MRC HIU Director and MRC WIMM Group Leader.

Professor Vincenzo Cerundolo FRS (1959-2020) was Director of the MRC HIU from 2010-2020 and a leader in the field of immunology, whose research advanced our understanding of antigen processing and presentation to immune cells.

Thanks to generous donations from friends, family and colleagues, a new Studentship has been set up in his honour.

The Enzo Cerundolo Scholarship at the University of Oxford will support a DPhil student in the Medical Sciences Division undertaking research in the field of human immunology.

“I am delighted that this Scholarship has now been established. It will provide a permanent reminder of Enzo who was a great scientist, a lovely colleague and a great mentor to his students”.

 - Professor Doug Higgs
