Dr Quan Zhang, a postdoc with Professor Patrik Rorsman, who has been awarded a Diabetes UK RD Lawrence Fellowship.

This fellowship was established by Diabetes UK in 1976 in recognition of the life and work of the late Dr RD Lawrence, co-founder of Diabetes UK. 

The fellowship is for 5 years and Quan will be studying the KATP channel-dependent and independent regulation of the glucagon-secreting pancreatic α-cell.
