Programme Oversight

The Novo Nordisk – Oxford Fellowship Programme is overseen by a Joint Steering Committee, which ensures the strategic direction and continued success of the programme. The committee is chaired by Professor Keith Channon (University of Oxford) and co-chaired by Professor Marcus Schindler (Novo Nordisk), with representatives from both partners.

Programme structure and funding

The Radcliffe Department of Medicine coordinates the programme, but fellows have been based across more than ten departments within the Medical Sciences Division (MSD) and the Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences Division (MPLS) at the University of Oxford.

Since its launch in 2013, the programme has supported over 40 fellows. In 2024, Novo Nordisk committed to funding 20 additional postdoctoral fellowships over the next nine years, bringing the total investment in the programme to £35 million.
