Athena SWAN team and reports
Athena SWAN activities are co-ordinated across the department by the RDM Athena SWAN Self-Assessment Team (SAT), chaired by the Head of Department, Prof Hugh Watkins. Expertise and input is provided by cross-divisional committees and working groups, which play a key role in the local implementation of the Action Plan and in driving the Athena SWAN initiative forward.
Charlotte Smith, RDM’s Athena SWAN Facilitator, supports these activities across RDM, as part of the department’s ongoing initiative of creating a better workplace.
RDM ATHENA SWAN SELF-ASSESSMENT TEAM (SAT)
The SAT meets quarterly and provides support for department-wide initiatives that benefit from a central co-ordinated approach (eg the RDM Mentoring Scheme and the RDM Career Development Committee). The SAT co-ordinated the 2015 successful application for an Athena SWAN Silver Award and in April 2019 submitted their second successful silver application.
