The LEGEND-D trial aims to find ways to prevent low blood sugar levels (hypoglycaemia) in type 1 diabetes. It will use  oral diabetic medications, which are normally used to treat type 2 diabetes, in people with type 1 diabetes. Researchers will find out whether administering these medications at smaller doses than normally prescribed could help prevent hypoglycaemia. We will recruit 20 participants with type 1 diabetes and 10 participants without diabetes.
