The Advanced Imaging Suite in OCDEM comprises live imaging, confocal, super-resolution and single-molecule capability.

Ongoing studies currently focus on:

  1. mapping cell surface protein expression in pancreas sections from donors with type 1 and type 2 diabetes
  2. decoding the signalling pathways activated by anti-diabetes / anti-obesity therapy
  3. understanding cross-talk between different cell types within the pancreatic islet.

We work closely with various microscopy providers to ensure access to state-of-the-art equipment.
