Yeshe Manuel Kway

Yeshe Kway is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Oxford Centre for Magnetic Resonance (OCMR), Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. His research combines artificial intelligence, multimodal biomedical data, and epidemiology to understand the heterogeneity and multiorgan nature of cardiometabolic diseases. Using advanced image analysis to integrate multimodal imaging, body composition, biomarkers, and population-scale data, he develops approaches for precision phenotyping and cardiometabolic risk stratification, with the aim of informing precision medicine and targeted therapeutic development.

He obtained his PhD from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where he specialised in artificial intelligence, quantitative biomedical modelling, and epidemiological analysis. His doctoral research centred on developing imaging datasets and AI-driven computational methods for quantitative image analysis, enabling high-resolution phenotyping of skeletal muscle and adipose tissue sub-depots. By integrating imaging-derived biomarkers with clinical and epidemiological data, his work advanced disease characterisation and risk prediction, establishing the methodological foundation for his current research in precision phenotyping and cardiometabolic risk stratification.
