Taisiia Sazonova

MD, MSc

DPhil Student

I graduated with honours from V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, School of Medicine in Ukraine, where I obtained my medical degree, before starting my medical training in Internal Medicine. In 2022, I was invited to work as a Visiting Researcher at Oslo University Hospital, where I joined a Genomics and Metagenomics research group that focuses on investigating the gut microbiota composition during COVID-19. I completed my MSc in Genomic Medicine at the University of Oxford in 2023.

My research interests are primarily focused on the genetics of neurodevelopmental disorders, which I will be investigating in the context of identifying novel candidate genes that may be causing these syndromes.
