I undertook my medical degree at the University of Birmingham and completed my foundation and core medical training in the West Midlands. I became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2014. I started Specialty Registrar training in Haematology in the West Midlands in 2015 and completed my FRCPath Haematology examinations in 2021. I was appointed to a clinical research fellow position with NHS Blood and Transplant Oxford in 2022. My DPhil supervisors are Professor Lise Estcourt, Dr Rebecca Cardigan, Dr Elizabeth Stokes and Dr Michael Desborough.
