Quality Manager

Quality Manager-Therapy Acceleration Laboratory (TAL)

I am the Quality Manager for the Therapy Acceleration Laboratories (TAL) at the University of Oxford Medical Sciences Division, where I lead quality operations supporting cutting-edge translational research and molecular diagnostic programmes. With over 14 years of experience in biomedical research and clinical trials, I specialise in designing and implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with international standards, including ISO 15189, GCLP, GCP, HTA, ISO 17025, CLIA, and GDPR. My expertise encompasses laboratory accreditation, regulatory compliance, audit and inspection management, CAPA and risk management, validation and verification programmes, and the successful implementation of electronic QMS platforms such as iPassport and Q-Pulse.

At the University of Oxford’s Department of Oncology, I played a pivotal role in strengthening quality governance across the Oxford Cancer Translational Laboratories and the Oxford Molecular Diagnostic Centre. Key achievements include supporting the successful GCLP accreditation in 2025 and coordinating complex inspections and audits with UKAS, MHRA, FDA, and EMA. Previously, I served for a decade as Head of Quality Assurance at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme in Kenya, where I built and matured comprehensive quality systems in a high-impact global health environment, maintaining accreditation for seven consecutive years.

I hold an MSc in Quality Management in Biomedical Science from the University of Greenwich and have contributed to peer-reviewed publications on laboratory quality systems, electronic QMS implementation, and GCLP integration within biomedical research settings.
