DPhil Student

My DPhil research focuses on generative AI models in cardiovascular imaging. I am developing improved Virtual Native Enhancement (VNE) methods supervised by Prof. Qiang Zhang, Prof. Vanessa Ferreira, and Prof. Stefan Piechnik. VNE uses generative models to enhance non-contrast cardiac MR images into ones comparable to contrast-enhanced scans, which helps reduce adverse reactions and scanning costs. My DPhil programme is funded by the Clarendon Fund Scholarship and Radcliffe Department of Medicine Studentship.

Before Oxford, I completed both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering at Tsinghua University, where I worked on signal and image processing for biomedical applications. My master’s thesis, solving image inverse problems with diffusion generative models, was recognised as an Outstanding Master’s Thesis at Tsinghua University.
