Lab Manager

I joined The Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) in October 2017, after spending a number of years at the Dunn School of Pathology.

As the BRC Diabetes & Metabolism Lab Manager, I head up a small core team in OCDEM that perform a wide range of biochemical and genomic assays for theme investigators, as well as supporting human islet isolation and assessment of human islet quality for clinical and research use.

I am also the OCDEM Lab Manager, with my duties including purchasing equipment and organising service contracts, and my other roles include: Departmental Safety Officer; Person Designated for our HTA licence; Senior Radiation Protection Supervisor; and deputy Biological Safety Officer
