Sion Parry
BSc (Hons); MSc; PhD
Postdoctoral Researcher
I obtained an honours degree in Sports Science from Liverpool John Moore's University in 2010 before completing my MSc in Sport Physiology at the same institution in 2011. Following this, I undertook a PhD studentship at Loughborough University in 2013, where I was investigating the metabolic responses to acute high-fat overfeeding and obesity in humans. Following completion of my studentship I have been based in the Metabolic Research Group at the University of Oxford where I am working with Professor Leanne Hodson investigating the influence of dietary factors on liver fat accumulation and metabolism. Alongside my academic responsibilities I am also a founding member of the RDM Researcher Association; a community which aims to enrich the experiences of RDM researchers through social events, career development and advice.
