Biography

Saddaf Syed, has over 20 years of research project management experience complemented with over 10 years of partnership development experience from not for profit, university and health care settings.

She has coordinated numerous clinical trials which have included medical device testing. As a research project Coordinator, she managed projects from end-to-end; developed research project protocols, ethics and regulatory documentation, recruitment, developed quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, conducted data collection and data analysis. 

Saddaf completed a masters degree in Translational Research (Medical Research) from the University of Toronto, Canada.  As part of the Masters she completed the following modules: Clinical Trials, Clinical Investigator Program, Intellectual Property, Translational Thinking, Procurement-Privacy and Regulatory Affairs, Grant Writing (Provincial, Canadian and International partnership-based research funding programs), Project Management, Professionalism, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Economics of Healthcare, Ethics (REB), Health Canada and FDA. Electives included Regenerative Medicine, medical apps and medical devices. She has a particular interest in medical devices, apps and virtual reality.
