PGCert Molecular Biology

Research Assistant

I joined the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in 2016 and I am currently working with Dr Svetlana Reilly looking at the cross-talk between cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts within the atria. This includes looking at miRNA interactions and cell signalling through G protein-coupled receptors. Prior to joining Dr Reilly's team I have worked within the NHS and Industry looking at novel ways of treating disease utilising techniques such as gene therapy and RNAi therapeutics. I am particularly interested in translating research to the clinic making a real effect to patients lives.
