Max Jamilly

BA (Hons), MPhil

DPhil Student

I am a DPhil student in Tudor Fulga's laboratory at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, supported by the BBSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Synthetic Biology. I am interested in single-cell analysis and the use of synthetic biology to reprogram cell fate.

I received my BA in Natural Sciences in 2013 from Pembroke College, Cambridge, where I won a Foundress' Scholarship and worked with Prof. Howard Baylis. I stayed in Cambridge for an MPhil in Bioscience Enterprise at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnoloy and Judge Business School, where I won the Carpe Diem Entrepreneurship Prize. Later, I interned at Cambridge Consultants in Cambridge, UK and at Gen9 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. I have been in Oxford since 2015.
