I joined CCRF in September 2019 as Clinical Project Manager for the research activities run by Prof Paul Leeson and Dr Adam Lewandowski. My role involves the coordination and management of the ongoing research programmes as well as the planning and implementation of long-term strategies to secure new funding and research opportunities. I also support the PIs with the financial and personnel management of the research group.
Prior to this role, I worked as clinical study coordinator and NIHR Programme manager at NDORMS in projects aimed to validate new Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) and to implement them in clinical practice as GP’s tools for referral to secondary care.
Before moving into the field of clinical studies, I was a scientist working in lab-based research for over 5 years. I gained my BSc (Hons) from the University of Bologna (Italy) after which I moved to Oxford to obtain my DPhil in Organic Chemistry. My research work focused on the development of new synthetic routes of fluorinated radiotracers for application in Positron Emission Tomography (PET).
