\n \n \n \nPerspectum Diagnostics \u2013 a spinout from the Radcliffe Department of Medicine \u2013 has reinvested money in the University of Oxford, to fund a three year multicentre European health economic study into methods of diagnosing fatty liver disease. This first of three payments totaling \u20ac759,999, is part of a \u20ac3.4m project, won by Perspectum in the H2020 grant competition.

\n \n \n \nResearchers have found a way to identify rogue cancer cells which survive treatment after the rest of the tumour is destroyed, by using a new technique that enables them to identify and characterise individual cancer cells.

\n \n \n \nAs part of International Day of the Midwife, Emma O\u2019Brien caught up with Yvonne Kenworthy \u2013 Lead Research Midwife in the Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility (CCRF), which is led by Prof Paul Leeson. CCRF facilitates high quality cardiovascular research within a clinical research environment with particular expertise in echocardiography, vascular assessment and clinical physiology.

The SPL statutory scheme enables eligible parents, if they so wish, to share a period of leave and pay in the 52 weeks immediately following the birth or adoption of their child.
