Dr Nicola Beer (Supervised by Anna Gloyn and Patrik Rorsman) has recently been named as a NDM Graduate Research Prize Winner 2010-2011.

The Graduate Studies Committee awards annual prizes to students of NDM supervisors on the basis of their publication record, the impact and and novelty of their research, references and the impact of their research within the department. Nicola has been awarded a prize for her work on the translation of a genome-wide association signal associated with triglyceride and glucose levels into a molecular mechanism.
