NDCLS regularly reviews its procedures to reflect the latest policy changes from the UKVI. You will find on this page one form for all external visitors (work experience, visiting student, academic visitor, sponsored researcher) and one form for internal visitors (Oxford University staff and enrolled students), alongside some guidance on Right To Work checks.

Please note:

NDCLS will not grant access to visitors, unless a fully completed Visitor Form is provided prior to their visit. It is crucial that hosts liaise with administration as soon as possible before agreeing any visit.

The Visitors Factsheet covers general information on RDM and NDCLS specifically for visitors.

external visitors

The External Visitor Registration Form should be completed and returned to hr@ndcls.ox.ac.uk, as far in advance of your Visitor’s arrival date as possible, especially as visas may be required, but also to allow space allocation, security access facilitation and Health and Safety induction.

If a visitor is not a national of the EEA, please liaise with us at the earliest opportunity and before any commitment to accept a visitor is made, so we can advise on the best immigration route, in line with the latest Home Office and UKVI regulations.

Useful flowcharts on who qualifies as an Academic Visitor or a Sponsored Researcher at available online. For more detailed information, please visit the University Staff Immigration Team webpage.

Internal visitors

The Internal Visitor Registration Form should be completed and returned to hr@ndcls.ox.ac.uk, at least 1 week before your Visitor’s arrival, to allow space allocation, security access facilitation and Health and Safety induction.
