The University of Oxford Medical Sciences Division, the Business Development Team and Research Services offer information and support on various funding opportunities.

Medical Sciences Division

The Medical Sciences Division Researchers' Toolkit has information on internal funding opportunities, which we include in the RDM funding bulletins and database. It also has a useful section on support for researchers

Business Development Team

The Medical Sciences Division operates an in-house Business Development Team, which actively seeks to promote and facilitate collaborative research with a range of industrial partners. Its focussed remit allows the division to provide the necessary resources to develop, deliver and support long-term partnerships. This team has been instrumental in setting up a number of strategic partnerships with big pharma and in building relationships with SMEs.

University of Oxford Research Services

Although most academic research funding at Oxford comes from Research Councils, charities and the European Commission, there are other potential funding sources worth considering. The alternative funding sources that are relevant to the research that takes places within RDM are included in the RDM funding bulletins and database. However, the University of Oxford Research Services provides information on wider funding opportunities, including those for early-career researchers, visiting researchers and travel.

Research Professional

Research Professional is an online research funding opportunities data and alerting service that the University subscribes to. All members of the University can create a free account and use the service to find research funding in all disciplines. You can set up specific searches to find funding relevant to your interests/career stage.
