Fire Risk Assessments
Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 the Department has to make Fire Risk Assessments concerning the identification of fire hazards, people at risk, lighting, signs and notices, the maintenance of fire safety equipment and systems, including the need for an emergency plan together with staff instruction.
This is part of the University's Safety Policy as stated in the University Policy Statement.
As some of the assessment concerns structural protection and escape route provision, together with warning of fire and extinguisher provision which are covered by the Trust we have used the Trust proforma in our assessments.
