Getting to the Churchill Hospital
Car parking in and around the hospital is extremely limited and we do not advise trying to park your car at the hospital, however, should you need to a map of the Churchill Hospital is available to download, with the car park locations indicated. Oxford has two park and ride sites that serve the Churchill Hospital, Water Eaton and Thornhill (900 bus service).
Staff Car Parking
Members of staff who have a genuine need to use their car to travel to work can apply for a parking permit. Staff can also buy 1 day parking permits (currently limited to 5 in any one month) please contact the parking office at the Churchill Hospital for more information.
There are a vast number of cycle routes that serve the Churchill Hospital, a map of the routes available in oxford is available from Oxfordshire County Council's website.
There are many buses and coaches that travel to the centre of Oxford. From central Oxford the best routes to the Churchill are the 4, 4A and 4B. Some services go through central Headington, which is a 15-20 minute walk from the Churchill or you can use the 900 service to the Hospital. Bus services from London include the Oxford Tube and the X90.
Oxford has two train stations. Oxford Station is in the centre of town and services from London (Paddington), Birmingham, Edinburgh and many other cites all arrive throughout the day; more information is available through the national rail website. To travel to the Churchill Hospital from the station please use the 4, 4A and 4B bus services. Alternatively, taxis can be hired outside the station or you can phone and book one of the Oxford City Council Approved Taxi Operators.
The nearest national and international airports are Birmingham, and Heathrow, and connections to Oxford can either be made by Train or using services offered by Oxford Bus Company and National Express. Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports are further away but connections to Oxford are also available.
