License agreements, conditions of use and copyright
LICENSE AGREEMENTS
A license is required by Commercial Organisations for use of the HOMA2 Calculator, or to incorporate into programs (Application Programming Interface-API).
A license is not required for non-commercial organisation's use of the HOMA2 Calculator Standalone and Excel implementations, only if you need the API.

We are currently in the process of transferring the HOMA2 Calculator to the Oxford University Innovations technology transfer organisation which should result in more license options and flexibility of terms but currently the licensing terms are fixed.
CONDITIONS OF USE AND COPYRIGHT
The HOMA2 Calculator ©The University of Oxford 2004-2021 is available without charge for use by clinical and non-commercial organisations. Commercial organisations wishing to make use of this software must first obtain a licence agreement.
All use of the software is subject to the following conditions: The University is a charitable foundation devoted to education and research, and in order to protect its assets for the benefit of those objects, the University must make it clear that no condition is made or to be implied, nor is any warranty given or to be implied, as to the accuracy of this Tool, or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose or for use under any specific conditions. Furthermore, the University disclaims all responsibility for the use which is made of the Tool. However, nothing in this statement will operate to exclude or restrict any liability which the University may have for death or personal injury resulting from negligence. It is a further condition that the software obtained from this site is not distributed further without the same conditions and copyright statements being imposed. Those seeking to incorporate any part of the HOMA2 Calculator into other software projects must seek the permission of the copyright holders before distribution or publication of their software.
The HOMA2 Calculator is intended for use by health care professionals to assist in the assessment of beta cell function and insulin sensitivity. It may be of assistance in the management of dysglycaemia or Type 2 diabetes but is not a replacement for formal medical assessment and not intended for use by patients unless in consultation with their trained medical adviser.
