Research


My group research is focused on understanding the clinical biochemistry of human disease conditions with an aim to identify disease crucial prognostic biomarkers for early disease evaluation, understand the role of target enzymes involved as well as to develop targeted therapeutic interventions.

Our research is focused in three main areas:

  • Cancer
  • Metabolic disorder
  • Viral infectious diseases

In experimental medicine research, we study potential drug (active agent) mode of action in disease condition both in in vitro, and vivo assays.

We conduct randomized clinical trials to study the safety and efficacy of an experimental drug in disease condition of interest.
