RDM has two Graduate Prize winners this year, Dr Lise Estcourt (NDCLS) and Dr Sarah Howles (OCDEM). RDM Graduate Prizes are awarded to current or recently graduated students of RDM supervisors on the basis of exceptional achievement in their research.

Dr Lise Estcourt, has just completed her DPhil with Prof Mike Murphy and Dr Simon Stanworth on the topic of 'Risk factors for haemorrhage in patients with haematological malignancies'. Lise has an extensive publication record, including a publication in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2013 and she has secured significant grant funding.

Dr Sarah Howles, a Wellcome Trust Clinical Fellow, is currently undertaking her DPhil with Prof Raj Thakker. She has obtained a joint first author high impact publication in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2013, she has contributed to a publication in Nature Genetics in 2013 and she has received a the Young Investigator Award from the British Endocrine Society in 2013.
