CCRF has a good record of providing postgraduate and undergraduate training in the area of cardiovascular research as well as a commitment to providing training opportunities for the researchers through symposium and research seminars.

Twice a year we host CCRF Research Seminars, where the investigators present the key research findings from clinical studies run within the facility.

Every two years we hold a symposium at Wolfson College, University of Oxford to provide a rare opportunity to bring together key individuals, who have made scientific contributions in the field internationally, for cross disciplinary discussions. The meetings are supported with funding from Wolfson College and the Oxford British Heart Foundation Centre for Research Excellence. The programme covers epidemiological and birth linkage studies, clinical follow up studies and experimental models. Download proceedings from previous symposia.

This year we have a new course ‘The Oxford Clinical Research Echocardiography Course’ to be run for the benefit of researchers who wish to include echocardiography in individual cardiovascular clinical research studies.
