Professor Bill Haynes joins us with the title of Visiting Professor of Metabolic Medicine. Professor Haynes is currently also the site head and Vice President of the Novo Nordisk Research Centre in Oxford, and was previously the Head and Vice President for Diabetes Biosciences at AstraZeneca. He has also been the Director of Translational Medicine (Cardiovascular and Metabolic) at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, preceded by 18 years at the University of Iowa, where he finished as the Professor for Cardiovascular Medicine and Endocrinology.
