Congratulations to Dr Kazem Rahimi, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, who has just been awarded an NIHR Career Development Fellowship. During this four year fellowship, Dr Rahimi's research will focus will be on "Health Service Delivery Research to Improve the Quality of Care for Patients with Heart Failure".

Dr Rahimi is the James Martin Senior Fellow in Essential Healthcare at the University of Oxford and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. As the Deputy Director of the George Centre for Global Health in Oxford, he leads the Essential Healthcare Programme, which aims to find practical and affordable solutions for the global health priorities of the world’s largest emerging economies, as well as the priorities of vulnerable or disadvantaged populations in established economies.
