These awards are highly competitive and provide funding for scientists who have an excellent track record and who are in an established academic post. They offer flexibility and time to tackle the most important questions within the field of the investigator. Professor Thakker’s research will focus on " Calcium-sensing receptor (CaSR) - a G-Protein coupled receptor (GPCR) - signalling pathways in health and disease".
